Found in the same waters as the lineage 9 Hoplisoma sp. CW191 and lineage 1 Corydoras sp. CW195 and possessing the same colour patterns. Lineage: Placed in Lineage 8 sub clade 4 which comprises the "intermediate long-snouts" with deeper bodies. It also includes Brochis in sub-clade 1 which was synonymised with Corydoras by Britto in 2003 but in time there will be a revision which will resurrect Brochis (Cope, 1871) to full genera again. As of the latest update (Dias et al 2024) Corydoras sp. (CW192) has now been placed in Lineage 8 sub clade 4 and has the new genus name of Brochis. Aquarium Care: This is akin to most of this genus, very peaceful, and would be best housed with small to medium sized tankmates such as Tetras, Rasboras and Danios or in a species tank for breeding purposes. Best to purchase 6 individuals or more as they will be happier in a group. Diet: They will readily consume commercial foods such as flake, granular and tablet foods and frozen foods such as bloodworms and daphnia, like all fish they benefit from regular feedings of live foods such as Daphnia, Cyclops, Grindal worms and bloodworms. Remarks: Still found on some online sources as Corydoras sp. (CW192).
