"saddle-nosed" species and when there is
a revision and a description they will stay as Corydoras
(Lacépède, 1803) with the type species
of C. geoffroy La Cépède, 1803. As
of the latest update (Dias
et al 2024), Corydoras
sp. (C094) has been placed
in Lineage 1 and has retained the genus name of Corydoras.

this is one of the longer snouted species it will
be well suited to most community tanks. A well planted

bury their snouts while searching out food. Diet:
Readily accepts a mixed and varied diet which includes
