Description:
Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total):
6 - 6; Anal soft rays: 16 - 18. Body extremely elongate,
predorsal distance 26-28% of SL; and dorsal spine
thin, weakly ossified and prolonged well beyond tip
of first ray as long flexible filament. Can be readily
identified by the very long filament to the dorsal.
Habitat: Appears restricted to the
deep, rather swift channels of very large whitewater
rivers. Colouration: Has black colouring
to the base of dorsal, pectoral, ventral and caudal
peduncle. Remarks:
Very striking if rare 'Dorad'.
