Habitat: Inhabits
fast-moving, warm, acidic waters. Aquarium
Care: In the aquarium, they will do best
in moderately soft, warm, well-oxygenated water with
plenty of hiding places and moderate to strong current.
This species requires excellent water quality to thrive
so large frequent water changes should be considered
necessary. As with the Peckoltia species
they are no problem to keep and seem to be non-aggressive
in a group of individuals. Peaceful, but can be territorial
towards other plecos. Diet: Vegetarian
with added tablet foods and fine to mediam sized live
and frozen foods such as mosquito larvae and brine
shrimp.
